How to play

Simple to learn.

Dots & Boxes is a strategy game you can learn in 30 seconds — and spend years getting better at.

Take turns drawing a line

Each turn, you tap to draw one line between two adjacent dots — horizontally or vertically. You and your opponent alternate turns until the board is full.

Complete a box to score

If the line you draw completes the fourth side of a box, that box is yours. Your color fills it — and you get to draw again immediately. Chain completions for big runs.

Most boxes wins

When every line on the board is drawn, the player who claimed the most boxes wins. The game ends with a Win, Lose, or Draw screen showing final scores.
